Update # 3- YES!!! After a few tense moments (my computer crashed and would not even turn on for a few hours), we're back up and bouncing! THE BIGGEST THANKS to Jesi, Hope and ESPECIALLY KATIE (who I think was up half the night with me) for your tech prowess and support- could NOT have done it without you!! I'm actually going to put up a detailed blog about so that perhaps someone like me will stumble upon in the future:) Update # 2- OK, FCP is corrupt due to a Quicktime upgrade I did yesterday-Grr Apple- apparently I'm not the only one (Thank you Jesi!) I tried to revert versions and it's impossible. Plus, FCP won't even open now. OMG. I'm going into shock (Ok, not really, but close). (UPDATE- ok, the problem is I can't get the video off FCP...it keeps giving me a general error message (has never happened before)...still trying: S) Hey guys. Thank you SOOOOOOOO much for dropping in on us this Whatever Wed. We really hate to disappoint you, but we decided to tweak our short for his week and it's just taking us way longer than we thought to piece it together.
We hope to have it up by Thursday evening.... sorry, but it's a one-man show on the technical end with Suri pulling yet another all-nighter. Thanks for your patience guys.. love you!

Hey Suri Apple and Shiloh I Cant WAIT! For Tommorow and i Love how you keep the site Family Easy im Only 10 and my family wants me to be careful on the computer but i showed my mom sisters cusins friends ect and we all love it and i love everything that you do with Zoey and Set Designing (I Loved The UnFamous Shoot Everything was Pink!) But Anyways i know you guys well pull it togther like you always do!

No worries. The whole concept of weekly releases did seem a little weird after so long (Summer '07?) without a set schedule anyway.
Btw, too bad you seemingly aren't able to freely distribute the UB series; that stuff is great! A ringtone band? Pure class.

Hey Gals, i must say that i am so relieved that you postponed the Whatev (I like to speak in Abrevs :) ) Show ... because i graduated from high school yesterday and we had a lock in ( i didn't get home until 6am ) i was afraid i missed the whatev show .. but i didn't ! I would like to think that you changed the airing of the show just for me :D haha , well i super exited and can't wait to see the finished product :)

The error message might be from some corrupted footage. Have you tried exporting smaller sections of the sequence? You might be able to narrow down where the corrupted clip is that way.

I've searched everywhere on-line and it appears the problem is that I upgraded to Quicktime 7.4 yesterday...so i'm now deleting that...

Yikes, I just now read about the bug. It messes up Adobe After Effects too its seems, which is what I use, so I'll make sure to pass on that update!

OMG is right...that's just awful. I hate when upgrading software causes everything else to stop functioning. You might need to delete/ remove everything from your computer and re-install your OS system from the start. at least 12 hours of work. it's terrible.

Thank goodness for Terminal revert commands...or I guess you could just drag the app, prefs, and any other files to the trash. But seriously, one of my favorite apps has to be Appzapper , it manages to 99% grab all of an app's associated files and bring them to the trash.
You need a pre-7.4.1 or even 7.4 dmg of Quicktime (luckily QT Pro is just a serial number different now, compared to a few years ago)? Give me a few minutes...

THIS WILL SOLVE ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS:
Whoa! Two successive earthquakes centered 4 miles away have woken me up and knocked a brilliant idea into my head. I hope you haven't re-installed all of OS X, because I just tried to simulate what you were dealing with and turned to Pacifist to delete 7.4.5 and install 7.3.1 from the dmg on the Apple site, and it worked! But most importantly it left no trace of 7.4.5!!!!!!

The WH camera work and editing are infamous, which is to say they're always more than famous. They're very good.

You're using it correctly? That is, you've loaded it up with Root admin privileges, loaded up the QT dmg, and are installing everything to its default location?

Awesome! Glad I could help. Did Pacifist work for you as it did for me? Last night I spent a few hours testing and got all the way down to the oldest version of QT compatible with OS X. Also, I tested a controlled boot off of the install DVD, and was able to reinstall down to the original QT that shipped with Leopard. I take it you haven't upgraded to 10.5 yet because you didn't have 7.4 already (and your opaque menubar), but once the latest QT becomes compatible with the current version of FCE/P, I have a Leopard upgrade DVD I can give to you because $130 is ridiculous.
